After browsing around Netflix and noticing I already watched everything interesting, I decided this was a sign that my days of lazing in bed were over. Looking into the mirror, I realized I had gained a few pounds from the Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years’ dinners, and the endless binging of holiday baked goods.
I began scouring YouTube to find workout routines I could follow in an attempt to regain my summer body. Last summer, I followed Chloe Ting’s ab workout routines, which I found to be very effective in toning my body overall, and they also helped me achieve an amazing figure. However, her routines soon became repetitive and boring, with the same music blasting in the background, and I found myself dreading the intro to her videos.
Luckily, I recently stumbled upon Alexis Ren’s 10-minute ab workout. With 38 Million views and countless reviews showing amazing results, I had to give it a try. I did this workout twice every day and also paired it with her hourglass ab workout for a week.
Day 1:
Right off the bat, I noticed that Alexis Ren’s ab workouts were not as intense as Chloe Ting’s. Thus, I ended up doing her 10-minute ab workout twice and finished off with her hourglass ab workout.
Day 2:
I woke up the next day feeling rejuvenated and ready to work out. It was easier to get through her workouts and I took fewer breaks. The music she played in the background was very upbeat and helped divert attention from my burning abs.
Day 3:
I was already seeing results on day 3. I noticed my abdomen area had gotten a bit more toned. The workout for this day felt much easier.
Day 4:
I found myself getting a bit bored of her workout routine, as she did not release many free workout regimen videos in comparison to Chloe Ting, who had a vast variety of different ab routines and workouts.
Day 5:
I began to see a significant improvement in my figure, and I saw that my waist was less of a rectangle and more of an hourglass shape. I also noticed that I slept better at night after exercising.
Day 6:
At this point, Alexis Ren’s music had gotten very repetitive. I changed things up by doing her hourglass ab workout first, and her ten-minute ab workout last. I noticed my waist had slimmed down a lot, and I had a clear hourglass figure.
Day 7:
On the last day of trying out Alexis Ren’s ab workout, I decided to do her ten-minute ab workout once and her hourglass ab workout twice.
Trying out Alexis Ren’s ab workout was definitely a good experience, but it was not as good of a workout as Chloe Ting’s routine. After using Alexis Ren’s ab workout, I noticed that my waist had slimmed down a lot, and I had lost fat on my overall body, but it did not do much to make my abs more muscular or defined. However, I am sure that if I continued her workout routine for another week or two, my abs would be more well-defined, as I worked out using Chloe Ting’s routine for two weeks while I only used Alexis Ren’s workout for one week. I disliked how there was little variety in Alexis Ren’s workout videos, and how you must pay to access her other workout regimens. On the other hand, Chloe Ting had a large selection of ab workout videos to choose from and also included free workout programs and videos to work out with. I worked out using Chloe Ting’s two week shredded abs workout program during September, and my abs and body were much more toned overall, even though my waist was not as small as when I started Alexis Ren’s routine.
Overall, both workout programs were effective, but I prefer Chloe Ting’s regimen for her variety and the burn that comes after her workouts.
