Humans of MHS: Josue Torres

“I’m part of like, you know, sports [football and soccer] at this school. [What was a memorable moment you had?] Oh yeah, well I mean, my freshman year I fractured my hip in track. And then so, it took a while for me to come back to the field this year. And my first touch, I guess you could say, from being back from my injury, I got a touchdown, it was pretty cool. [I play] running back. What do I like about football? Just you know, the brotherhood. You know, being on the team, how everybody treats one another. It’s really – and also, just suiting up, it’s really exciting. [How important is football to you?] I don’t even know. I probably wouldn’t be as athletic as I am today if it wasn’t for football, ‘cause I mean, I started playing when I was like, younger. So yeah.”
