Humans of MHS: Officer Michelle Sanchez

“Can you tell us a little bit about yourself.”

“I’m Officer Michelle Sanchez. I’ve been a Police Officer for the City of Milpitas for a little bit over three years. I decided to be a police officer, because I was really inspired by our school resource officer back in my high school. I’m here today, because I’m taking over our school resource officer program for a few months until the current SRO comes back. I’m really excited to meet students and get to know people on campus. I am inside in the office and I’m open to any student who wants to come in and talk to me. If there’s a crime that needs to be reported, I’m there to document it and to investigate it. I’m also here as a positive role model for students. I’m here if you need to talk about something or just have somebody to listen to or get advice. They can always come to me. I’m always here to listen. I was a juvenile once, right, not that long ago. So I definitely understand the things that you guys go through and I just want students to know that hey there’s someone here to talk to you.”
